The sensor's operating principle
The principle of operation of a K2150 sensor is based on radiation into the surrounding area of the electromagnetic field and recording its changes caused by the reflection of objects moving in the sensor sensitivity zone. The radiation power is only 100 mW which is half the radiation power of your home Wi-Fi router, so the sensor has no harmful effects on humans. The maximum power requirement is the same for all countries in the world and is a condition of license-free use of its radio signal.
Sensivity areas
Depending on the method the motion sensor is located, (on the wall or on the ceiling) various parameters of the sensor’s sensitivity area can be obtained.

К2150 vs PIR
The main competitors of our sensors at the moment are ceiling-mounted passive infrared motion sensors (PIR-sensors) with the installation height of up to 12m and the sensitivity zone length of 20–30m. PIR-sensors are optical beam sensors. They focus radiation of human body heat on a sensitive feather element through special microlenses on a common Fresnel lens.
